Night of the Lepus

Posted by & filed under .

Our month-long celebration of Halloween continues here in the basement as we check out the horror anomaly that is Night of the Lepus. We hope these bunnies terrify you?
In Seen It, we explore the cinematic and literary world of Stephen King as we start fires, visit semataries and work the graveyard shift.

    Seen It?

    ’13’ – (2010) Directed by Géla Babluani

Seemingly a talent bomb starring Sam Riley , Ray Winstone , Michael Shannon , Jason Statham , Mickey Rourke, Alexander Skarsgård, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Apparently the director remade their own 2005 movie, 13 Tzaméti, which was much better received. I haven’t seen either, but the original is now on my watch list.

I have another pitch: I want to adapt the 1986 Transformers movie as a mash-up between greek and japanese mythologies, mixing practical effects of the original Clash of the Titans and rubber suit vs miniatures ala Godzilla and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Think Turbo Kid level splat-stick with nearly the exact same story beats (relentless The Raid level action) but with moderately fleshed out human characters (with some stock characters).
