Our first in a series of films by auteur directors, Terrence Malick takes us on a dark drive into the heartlands with ‘Badlands’. Craig also has a strange theory about the 80s hits of Robert Palmer.
In Seen It, we discuss German Rockers, Dark Vigilantes and journey across the galaxy and into the afterlife.
Hey doods,
I have been watching your show nonstop for the past week. My lovely home of Nashville was mentioned twice in this episode and I felt compelled to comment. Thank you so much for doing what you do! I haven’t felt this kind of feeling of closeness to a series since I first saw MST3K back when I was a lad. I saw in one episode that Matt mentioned loving music biopics. I was wondering if yall have seen the movie “What we do is secret”. A biopic of Darby Crash and The Germs! While it is a flawed film you can tell a lot of heart went into the making of it and the subject matter is, in my opinion one of the more telling stories of the american underground and LA culture. Also the lead actor ‘Shane West’ actually went on to tour with the rest of the original Germs. He also actually got the panther tattoo that Darby Crash had. That’s some commitment to a role!! if you haven’t it yall should check it out!!
Much Love,
Darcy
